Running Detection
Flagging the Behavior Before It Becomes the Incident.
In certain zones, near active machinery, on stairs, around vehicle traffic, the specific action of running is itself the hazard, independent of any other rule being broken. A worker moving too quickly through a zone with forklift traffic, or running down a stairwell, represents an elevated risk in that moment regardless of PPE compliance or anything else happening around them.
AiVision360's Running Detection identifies when someone is moving at running speed within a monitored zone, flagging that behavior specifically in areas where speed itself increases risk — near machinery, on stairs, around vehicle traffic, or on wet or uneven flooring where a fall becomes significantly more likely at higher speed. Because this capability is built on the platform's core movement-tracking layer rather than requiring a separate system, it can run alongside PPE and fall detection on the very same camera, adding an additional behavioral signal to a zone's existing coverage without additional hardware or a standalone monitoring tool.
Detected running events generate an alert through the platform's standard incident workflow — timestamp, zone, video clip, confidence score — giving safety teams visibility into a specific risk behavior pattern that might otherwise go completely unnoticed until it directly results in an injury.
